ISBN 1-888725-57-5 Lure of the Long-legged Blonde--Norman Mark, (2005) 5½ X8¼, 245 pp, A rollicking tale of the dumbest detective since Inspector Clousseau, by Norman Mark, radio talk show host, wine columnist, and movie reviewer. $14.95
" I bought the book. Read the book. Love the book. It's absurd,
over-the-top, ingenious, silly and probably the funniest novel I've ever
read. Serious deranged and uproariously funny. It's a cockeyed, totally
hilarious version of "The Godfather," "Goodfellas," and "The Soprano,"
all wrapped up in one tidy package. It would make a great cable (i.e. HBO)
series. After I read the first few pages, I was struck by the fact that
there's a laugh in every paragraph, every exchange of dialogue. I tested
that theory by flipping ahead and randomly choosing a couple of passages.
Sure enough. Laugh after laugh after laugh."
